Replacement brackets to install a tonneau cover on the 5th gen RAM truck w/ a multi-function tailgate. Brackets in the bed behind the cab are required on this truck because the multi-function tailgate swings out like a door. This causes stress on the opposite site of the truck bed, which is what the bracket supports. The OEM bracket is cast metal, very bulky, and has a reinforcement cross bar. This prevents installation of tonneau bed rails. Our replacement brackets are made of high quality steel, a slim right angle for the rails to fit, and simply replaces the OEM bracket.
