Hi, I ordered some heavy duty floating shelf brackets and wanted to confirm spacing between them. For an 80” shelf with heavy duty brackets at both ends, do I need an additional 2 brackets (4 total? At 16” apart) or if the brackets are less than 32” apart, can I just use 3? See more »

We recommending using our stud mounted heavy duty floating shelf brackets every other stud on a "typical" shelf. If this shelf needs to support a massive amount of weight, then use these on every stud available. We recommend using every stud available if your work bench is going to be receiving a high amount of weight. Separate the brackets 16"-20" apart. See full answer »

The Heavy Duty Floating Shelf Bracket has mounting holes on the shelf arm that can be used to attach the shelf to the bracket. However, if you'd prefer to not using fasteners to mount the shelf you can also use glue or silicone to attach the shelf to the bracket securely. See full answer »

In general we recommend keeping the bracket within 2"-4" from the edge of the countertop or the surface you're supporting. The shelf mounting holes for this bracket are the same size as the stud mounting holes. We recommend using a similar scraw as the stud mounting hardware but adjusting the length to account for the thickness of the shelf/bench. See full answer »

We can custom make a bracket, but this bracket should be plenty long for your project. We recommend that brackets cover 3/4 of the countertop overhang. This bracket should be fine for your project. See full answer »

Yes they can. Make sure the powder coat has no scratches or chips, or the steel will rust. Also, use 1/2" thick brackets for anything someone will be sitting on. See full answer »
