Lip Shelf Bracket – Modern Shelf Brackets
Right On Bracket offers high-quality, durable lip shelf brackets made from 3/16” thick steel and powder-coated black for rust- and corrosion-resistance. Available in various sizes, these brackets support a range of shelf sizes and weights.

Product Specifications:
- All Lip Brackets are 3/16″ thick.
- All Lip brackets are 1.5″ wide
- Available in lengths: 6″, 8″, 10″, 12″.
- The length/depth is the distance between the wall and the hook.
- Available in heights: 4″ and 6″.
- The height is the distance between the top and bottom of the mounting plate.
- The hook is 1″ high.
- 2 mounting holes on the inside of the bracket for secure wall mount.
- Mounting holes are 1/4″.
- Mounting holes are not countersunk.
- Each mounting hole is drilled an inch from the end of the bracket. Once the bracket 10″ long or more, mounting holes are spaced 1.5″ from the ends.
- Bracket is buffed to give smooth edges and eliminate any burrs.
Powder coated black to prevent against corrosion and rust.
Weight Capacity:
- Make sure high quality mounting hardware is used to secure bracket.
- Specific max load/weight capacities per bracket are detailed in the diagram.
- Note: Weight limits are based on a licensed professional contractor installing them properly into wood blocking or studs. Drywall anchors WILL NOT reliably hold the same weight.
- Examples:
- One 6″ long bracket has a weight capacity of 100 lbs.
- Two 8″ long brackets have a weight capacity of 150 lbs.
Installation Tips:
- Mounting Hardware Not Included.
- Recommending #12 tapered wood screws 1.5″ – 2″ long.
- Drill pilot holes to avoid cracking your mounting surface.
- If you’re using this bracket to support stone or dense material, we recommend Liquid Nails to mount your shelf to the bracket.
- To ensure your shelving and brackets are straight, we recommend using a leveling laser on your mounting holes.
